"The cutest little B&B in a perfect location to wineries in Fredericksburg or Main Street. Absolutely felt at home with Becky and her daughter. They made the most amazing breakfast every morning. Best biscuits of our life! Our room in “Becky’s kitchen” surpassed our expectations from the photos online. It was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. We will be back again for a stay and good conversation with Becky and her cute place!"

"The best Inn we've ever stayed at!

Our Innkeepers, Becky and Hillary, were a pleasure to get to know and breakfast was the best part of our day! Seriously, the best biscuits I've had and the eggs were fresh everyday!

They made us feel so welcomed, but also gave us space and privacy.

The room was adorable, cozy, clean and anything we could have needed was provided! The room was actually bigger than the pictures showed!

I cannot express fully in words how wonderful our time was here. We will absolutely be staying there next time we return to Fredericksburg and are looking forward to future visits!"

"Wonderful breakfast and accommodations, yet the people were even better! We just spent 3 nights at the Chuckwagon Inn and were very pleased. It wasn’t a busy week so we were able to visit quite a bit with Becky and Hillary (Becky’s daughter) over breakfast. They are two of the nicest, most accommodating hosts we’ve encountered over the years. And Becky is simply a hoot!! We laughed and enjoyed great conversation. And all being multiple generation Texans, we CAN talk! We’ve visited Fredericksburg many times and are very familiar with what there is see and do. Even though we had already planned most of our time, Becky gave us a couple recommendations that were new to us. We thoroughly enjoyed her suggestions. Availability permitting, we will stay here again.

To Becky and Hillary: God bless and thank y’all so much!"

About us

History of Chuckwagon Inn

The old stone house was originally a dog trot structure with a dirt floor between the two rooms, a bedroom, and the kitchen. The house was built in 1854 by the Tatsch Family. This family also built the first stone house in the town of Fredericksburg and is located at the corner of Bowie and Austin streets. The family would bring the horses in between the rooms at night to keep them from being stolen by the Indians.
